SENTRI Interview Checklist: Documents and Vehicle Questions
SENTRI supports pre-approved travelers entering the United States through designated southwest border lanes.
Before the interview
Check your status in the official TTP account and review the CBP SENTRI FAQ.
Documents to review
- Passport or accepted citizenship document.
- Permanent resident card, if applicable.
- Current proof of address.
- Relevant immigration, work authorization or name-change documents.
- Vehicle information if you intend to use vehicle lanes.
Vehicle registration
CBP’s handbook says vehicles used in a SENTRI lane must be registered in the program. Membership alone does not automatically cover a replacement, borrowed or new vehicle.
